It has grown from a multi-million dollar industry to now what is projected to be a trillion dollar industry by the end of the decade.

The potential growth of health and wellness is huge especially when you consider the emerging baby boomers which are quickly becoming the largest and most powerful segment of our population, not only in the U.S. but world wide. We’ve all heard the expressions going around lately 50 is the new 40, 60 is the new 50 and so on. Make no doubt about it baby boomers are not drifting off into retirement, they are engaged and concerned more than ever about there health, living longer and enjoying the wealth they have created over the last couple of decades.

They are concerned about prevention of disease, eating better and becoming more involved in there overall health. I would never consider myself a health nut, but I've always been concerned about what I put into my body. Having been a Martial Artist most of my life I've kind of adopted many of the healthy eating habits of eastern Asian cultures. So therefore luckily I've been able to stay away from fast foods and red meat, kind of hard to do sometimes.

I do take fish oils, green tea supplements and my favorite green powder super shake 3 to 4 times a week.Ok maybe I am a health nut, not quite a vegetarian though not yet at least. The great thing about the wellness industry is that even though it has grown tremendously over the last couple of years, there is still a huge need for wellness products and health education like we've never seen before in history of this country, the United States that is.

There's a thirst for guidance and information pertaining to health care needs that we've never seen before. The rising obesity rates, unhealthy eating habits, and soaring medical costs have all contributed to what we now see as a sickly and unhealthy population. Which unfortunately is being exported all across the world. You can now find McDonald's, Kentucky fried chicken and many other fast food chains in China, Russia, Europe, and sadly enough in many developing countries in Africa and South America.

But just like in any other crisis there is a silver lining, as more and more people become educated to the fact that bad dietary habits can be detrimental to their health, wellness products and companies are becoming the next ground floor opportunity for people looking to build profitable business in the new world economy. Will this create challenges within this industry, of course it will that's what business is all about, over coming challenges and creating opportunities.

The health and wellness industry has become so vast in its dynamic that anyone can be successful in this industry by being unique, targeting a specific niche market and standing out from the crowd. This industry is not going away, its going to get bigger and the opportunities for astute entrepreneurs are going to be overwhelming. Especially now with the internet were the average person can now create a technology based online home business right from your kitchen table.

All you need is a computer, internet connection and a cell phone and you’re in business. And most of the tools needed to build your business online are low cost and in many instances free. Internet network marketing and the wellness industry have come together to create the perfect storm and many people will profit from it. And the scary part about all this is this is just the beginning so why not position you right now with a unique wellness opportunity, even Donald Trump is positioning himself to take advantage of this extraordinary once in a life time opportunity, he even dedicated a chapter in his book with Robert Kiyosaki "Why We Want You To Be Rich" on the importance of network marketing as a viable business model in the new world economy.Become a leader by getting out in front of the wave.
